Job Description
Accounts Payable Processing
• Ensure accurate coding, payment amounts and vendor information on all invoices or payables associated with your assigned entities (AVID system).
• Respond to vendor inquiries/issues.
• Work with property management to make sure proper vendor set up forms are submitted to AP in order for the AP process to flow properly.
Accounts Receivables
• Ensure tenant billings (utility, tenant work, tenant change orders, etc.) are entered into the system timely.
• Ensure prepaid balances are applied properly.
• Assist property manager with A/R collections and tenant reconciliations.
• Print and review aging report with property manager so aging notes can be updated in the system.
Lease Administration
• Enter lease notes and non-financial related lease information into the system, as deemed necessary.
• Review lease abstracts for accuracy and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain Tenant lease files and keep them up to date.
Budget/Forecasting
• Complete budgets/forecast as deemed necessary.
Month End Close
• Complete the month end close process for a property/portfolio which includes updating applicable work papers, proposing/creating journal entries, etc.
• Scan approved Journal entries and workpapers to shared network drive.
• Upload the required documents to asset management on a monthly basis.
Miscellaneous
• Comply with year- end audit request as needed.
• Perform special projects as deemed necessary by Assistant Controller, Regional Accounting Manager and Property Management.
Education
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with an Accounting Major
Experience
• Property management experience preferred.
