Regional Marketing Specialist

Reports to Division Vice Presidents/Directors of Leasing with dotted line to Corporate Director of Marketing



Champion Orlando and Tampa marketing programs and initiatives by providing marketing expertise to the Orlando and Tampa divisions, primarily in support of leasing efforts, while keeping a keen eye on maintaining Highwoods brand standards.



  • Develop marketing plans for Orlando and Tampa divisions and drive the day-to-day implementation and tracking in support of customer acquisition and retention objectives
  • Gain a solid understanding of commercial office real estate data and trends w/in the Orlando and Tampa markets
  • Achieve detailed familiarity of all properties and suites within the division
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) to satisfy sales collateral and other needs based on approved design templates, as well as creating original designs for special projects
  • Spearhead thought leadership presentation development for local team
  • Manage lease proposal template for division
  • Coordinate under direction of Corporate Marketing the development and production of Highwoods response to proposal requests as needed for large lease and build to suit projects
  • Manage ongoing email campaign strategy and communicate same/work with Corporate Digital Marketing Coordinator for successful implementation
  • Oversee promotional item buys (through corporate approved resource) and inventory for Orlando and Tampa (Includes employee, broker, customer and other gifts)
  • Establish guidelines for set up and management of vacant spaces and assist with setup
  • Maintain customer, broker and asset database information for website, using Salesforce system; identify e-marketing and direct response initiatives
  • Plan/coordinate broker and customer events
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive “Featured Property” guidebook for analyst presentations and tours
  • Manage the updates to property pages on HIW website regarding available space, portfolio changes, updated photos and floorplans as needed
  • Track and report on local marketing program status and ROI
  • Identify local partnership marketing efforts and external marketing opportunities that leverage our assets
  • Special projects as assigned



  • Team player with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, attend to details and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Creative Suite publishing programs (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) in addition to Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong customer service orientation a must
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills



  • Bachelor’s degree or business equivalent required
  • Five to seven years of B2B experience in marketing, communications and/or advertising
  • Real estate experience a plus
