BOMA Orlando’s Community Service Projects Committee, Sustainable, and Industrial Committee Chairs are working closely to bring a special work-day and Appreciation Lunch to their team members:

Service Day & Appreciation Lunch at Do Good Farm on Friday, October 20:

Do Good Farm is a working farm with a mission to feed neighbors and nations through sustainable farming!  Josh Taylor is out to show us that you can feed the world from a small, 1.5-acre.  Located in Winter Garden, Do Good Farm’s mission is to end hunger and malnutrition through education and training for individuals and their communities. The Farm was created to not only grow organic, healthy food but to teach people how to sustainably grow this food so they can make it part of their diet and also provide training on how to grow for themselves or their local community.  Check them out at dogoodfarm.org.

In collaboration with the Industrial, Community Service Project, and Sustainable Committees, we are offering our members the opportunity to participate in a Day of Service at Do Good Farm, followed by an Appreciation Lunch for all your hard work, dedication and support all these years.  The Farm will provide a delicious and nutritious lunch and a tour of the permaculture, aqua and hydroponics gardens.  So please mark your calendars for Friday, October 20.  Work-day will begin at 8 AM, followed by a delicious lunch prepared by the Farm’s Chefs using fresh picked produce and vegetables straight from the farm

Then if you opt in (requires an additional registration and is not funded by Committee’s), for a fee of $25, Josh will provide a Potting Class where you can pot an edible plant, in a 3-gal container, to take home, nurture and share.
