Florida statutes require buildings to be equipped with a code-complaint Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System (ERRCS), otherwise known as a BI-Directional Amplifier (BDA) with a Distributed Antenna System (DAS). Will your buildings be ready?

Presenters:

Casey McKenna, ADT Commercial National Fire & Life Safety Team. Casey earned a degree in Electronics and Computer Technology and has been in the fire & life safety industry for over 20 years.  He has real world experience as a technician, a project manager and now leads our Public Safety ERCES/BDA/DAS and Commercial DAS business across the US. Casey is NICET Level IV certified in fire alarm systems, GROL licensed by the FCC as required for ERCES systems, and holds numerous manufacturer’s technical certifications in fire alarm, ERCES and security. Casey serves on the NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Committee for the Development of “In Building Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement Systems” as a subject matter expert. Casey is also a Principal committee member on NFPA 1221 & 1225.

 

Bill Van Loan, ADT Commercial National Fire & Life Safety Team. Bill studied electronic engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology, has a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Georgia State University and has been in the fire & life safety industry for over 30 years. He has real-world experience as a technician, a project manager, a sales representative, life safety and security system business owner. Bill is NICET Level II certified in fire alarm systems, NICET Level III certified in Fire Suppression Systems, has a low voltage systems license, holds a GROL licensed by the FCC as required for ERCES systems, and holds numerous manufacturer’s technical certifications in fire alarm, ERCES, and security. Bill has been involved with BOMA Atlanta for over three decades, with his main focus in the Commercial Real Estate vertical market.
